#103 fixed Corrections to Appendices A and H davidhassell ros
Description

Appendix A:

  • cf_role, featureType, instance_dimension and sample_dimension should all be of type "S" not C or N.
  • It is not obvious that the "Use" should be D for instance_dimension and sample_dimension. The count and index variables are not data variables, but not coord vars either. Suggest putting "-" for them, and add to the key that "-" is for variables with a special purpose.

Appendix H:

  • Section H2: In the examples station_name is an auxiliary coord var and so needs to be identified as one in the coordinates attribute.
  • Section H2: _FillValue for the variables humidity and temp should be -999.9f
  • Example H8: coordinates attribute for pressure, temperature and humidity should be set to "time lon lat z"

I've not looked beyond Section H4 so some of these might apply there as well.

#36 fixed Correction proposed to subsection headings of Appendix D cf-conventions@… jonathan
Description

The various vertical coordinates described by Appendix D of the CF standard should be titled as unnumbered subsections, not as examples. They were unnumbered subsections in the beta CF standard document, and the formatting was changed when the document was translated to docbook. There was a similar problem with Appendix F, which was corrected by ticket 18.

#71 fixed Correction of Vertical perspective projection davidhassell martin.raspaud
Description

Hi,

There is a confusion under the notes of the Vertical Perspective text in the conventions between geos and nsper. Snyder is describing near-sided perspective... Here is the corrected text:

Notes:

A general description of vertical perspective projection is given in [Snyder], pages 169-181.

The corresponding projection is proj.4 is nsper. This should not be confused with the proj.4 geos projection.
